Would you like to help providing a safe space to venezuelan refugees and colombian returnees? AFS Colombia gives you the opportunity to get involved in a community development work while experiencing firsthand an intercultural exchange. You will learn how to promote social inclusion. The goal is to make children feel comfortable and safe through two types of support activities and contribute reducing the risks they are exposed to due to their vulnerable situation. The two types of volunteering activies consist on:
- In the center of humanitarian help (full time): daily accompaniment to the children’s activites during the breakfast, lunch, oral hygiene moments, cooking, pedagogical activites and workshops. These activites are held with kids up till 10 years old.
- Externat (part time): family training and strengthening to the children and adolescents from 6 to 18 years old.
You will also help mantaining the order and the organization of the spaces where you will be working.
